Annual Inspirations 2014-15 available August 1st!!

While I have been enjoying the lovely sun and time with family and friends for the past two weeks while on holiday, I have also been taking in all of the amazing new scrappy stuff available in the new CTMH idea book!

The new Annual Inspirations is our yearly catalogue packed full of awesome products for scrapping, stamping and your other crafty endeavours!  It is also an idea book-designed to inspire you and provide some great ideas for projects you can make at home.

I am super excited because there is a LOT of fun stuff and I can't wait to get home and get some time to play with some of the new products - like August's Stamp of the Month!

The owl and bat stamps are completely adorable and I love Halloween goodies all year round!!
Plus that little pumpkin is so sweet!!!

There are some wonderful Christmas papers as well, and Fall themed goodies, plus, birthday, travel. . .  well you get the picture!

You can view the catalogue online beginning August 1st- just head to my   website and follow the links!!

Watch this space for some fun projects over the next while- I am heading home to my craft room tomorrow! :-D

Happy Day everyone!!

Christmas in July #2

Today's card is not my usual style of Christmas card, which tends to be more glittery and sparkly.  This one is deliberately more masculine - I wanted something to appeal to the men in my circle of friends and family.

I used the paper fundamentals in the basic colours, along with the Yuletide Greetings stamp set (D1553), which is available now, and will continue to be available in the next idea book, as well!

Quick, easy and simple!  Perfect  if you want to make a large batch - the fussy cutting took the longest amount of time, but you can do that and steal few minutes to watch a favourite show on TV!  Or while sitting at the beach!!!  And then you can tell your friends you made your Christmas cards at the beach!

More cards and another grad layout coming up later this week!

Happy Day everyone!!

Christmas in July - Day 1

Throughout July I will be posting some Christmas (yes, you heard me!) cards.  Now, you should know I NEVER get my cards done on time, and sometimes I make them and don't quite get them sent - but it is a brand new day!  This is my year to get them done early , written and sent!  You heard it here first!

This card I made as a part of the Mojo Monday challenge for this week  - first the sketch:

And here is my card:

The colour combo was a struggle for me - it is also for a challenge - Color Dare #100 at Color My Heart:

It was good to have to use some different colours on my card - especially a Christmas card - and it was a great stretch because these are not at all the usual palette of colours I prefer!

Follow the links and give these challenges a try - or make a Christmas Card of your own!  And if you are becoming  a collector rather than a crafter - try this NEW challenge blog to help you use up all that stuff you have been hoarding ( you know who you are!!)  It is called EXHAUST YOUR EXCESS!

After all, it's only:

Happy Day!

A little bit country!

We are getting close to the end of this catalogue so I want to highlight a paper pack that will not be available as of the end of this month!  It is called Jubilee, and is perfect for those western, fair, 4H and otherwise country layouts (like Stampede my Alberta friends!!)

Here are a couple of layouts made with the Jubilee Workshop on the Go, and the Jubilee Complements pack.  The WOTG comes with supplies (including a cute stamp set!) and  instructions for two 2 page layouts, but I decided to do my own thing!

Here is layout number 1:

It is a single layout ready for photos from our Fall Fair, based on a sketch from Page Maps.

The second layout is a double layout that also incorporates one of my favourite stamp sets D1555 All the Details - making banners for your pages is SO easy with this set!!

This layout is really quick and easy - just cut a variety of 3x3 squares, trim your photos to 3 inches wide and you are good to go! Stamp the banners in coordinating colours and you are done! This would work equally well with landscape photos - and don't forget to leave space for journaling!!  I added a few extra embellishments on this, but you don't need to - or you can dig through your stash to find a few things that would work!!  That is what I did!!

The final layout is another double - quick and easy!!

If you like this paper pack - it is still available until the end of the month, although supplies
are limited and once it is gone, it is gone!

Next up I will have some sneak peeks from the new catalogue available in August!  In the meantime:

Happy Day Everyone!
